Liber ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy. This Privacy Policy describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you may provide when you use the Liber iOS application (the "App") and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information.

Please read this policy carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information and how we will treat it. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, do not use the App. By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect and How We Collect It

We collect several types of information from and about users of our App, including:

A. Screen Time & Family Controls Data (Highly Restricted)

Liber core functionality requires the use of Apple’s Screen Time API (FamilyControls, ManagedSettings, and DeviceActivity).

B. Onboarding & Preferences Data

During onboarding, we may ask for information such as your age, reading goals, and obstacles to reading to personalize your experience. This data is stored locally on your device to calculate your personalized reading library and phone usage statistics.

C. Reading Activity & Library Data

We keep track of the books you add to your Reading Queue, your current reading progress, and your completed books. All of this reading data is stored strictly locally on your device. This allows us to provide you with your personal library, manage your reading streaks, and unlock your apps when sessions are complete without sending your private reading habits to external servers.

D. Subscription & Purchase Information

If you choose to purchase a premium subscription (Liber Pro), your purchase is processed securely by Apple and our subscription management provider, RevenueCat. We do not collect or store your credit card information or Apple ID details. We only receive an anonymous user identifier and the status of your subscription.

2. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to operate the App. These services may collect information sent by your device as part of a request, such as your IP address or device identifier.
